18th Annual Golf Classic - September 12, 2009 Details and registration here Shamberg Memorial Fountain More than 40 years of service to the Kimball community are being recognized with the completion of the Shamberg Memorial Fountain project at Kimball Health Services just outside the main entrance. The project was entirely funded by contributions to the Shamberg Memorial and arranged with the help of Ginny Hruza, the daughter of the late Dr. Al and Virginia Shamberg. A public dedication of the project including Hruza and other Shamberg family drew about 60 people. About the Foundation The Kimball Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the hospital. It is a separate entity and is governed by its own Board of Directors. The Foundation's purpose is to educate the public about the needs of the hospital and to accept gifts, (money, property, etc.) on behalf of the hospital. It is through generous gifts from the public that the Foundation can help Kimball Health Services fulfill its mission. The Foundation has been able to support many hospital improvements through the years. The people in our community will be certain that this support will continue because of their commitment and vision to keep quality health care close to home. We are currently seeking support for Jacob's Fund, established in three different states as an effort to provide funds for families in need who have lost children at birth or whose child has an urgent medical need. The Kimball Hospital Foundation is a charitable foundation designated by the IRS as a 501 (c) 3 for deductible contributions. Previous Events 13th Annual Bowling Tournament A perfect game of 300 could earn a cash prize of up to $500 at the Kimball Hospital Foundation’s 13th Annual Bowling Tournament held for two weekends in February at the Kim Bowl. The 9-pin no-tap tournament is a fundraiser for the Hospital Foundation, with proceeds going to help purchase medical equipment at Kimball Health Services. 2008 Holiday Spirit Tree Making a donation to the Kimball Hospital Foundation during the Holiday Spirit Season is a special way to honor the memorable people in your life. Two levels of donations are available. The trees are decorated with engraved brass ornaments and displayed in the Hospital lobby during the holiday season. Contributions are used to purchase needed equipment for Kimball Health Services and provide quality healthcare to you and your loved ones. In 2009, the Foundation hopes to raise funds to purchase a new blood pressure monitor for a stress test machine, endoscopy equipment and new entry doors for our facility. |
